Since 1961, SIGMA has been creating cutting-edge, high-performance optics in Japan. The result of SIGMA’s years of development in technology, design, workmanship, and expertise is the CINE series, which now includes over 25 8K-ready primes and zooms.

SIGMA’s cine lenses have the same optical design as their highly acclaimed Art line of stills lenses, which accounts for its superb bokeh, well-managed distortion, and controlled vignetting. On the outside, however, the CINE line was created specifically to satisfy the demands of cinematographers; it has superb build quality, finely machined parts, and incredibly smooth control ring motion.
Most SIGMA CINE lenses are available in three mount options (PL-i, Sony E and Canon EF), which covers most cameras commonly used for film-making.

used with cinema cameras made by Canon, Sony, Arri, RED, and a few other manufacturers.
Furthermore, SIGMA produces three mount conversions so that even more people can utilize the lenses. Canon EF lenses can be used on Sony bodies with the MC-11, Canon EF lenses can be used on L-Mount bodies with the MC-21, and PL-i lenses can be used on L-Mount bodies with the MC-31 (seen below).
There are two prime lines in the SIGMA CINE line-up – the FF High Speed Primes and the FF Classic Primes. Both have the same 11 focal lengths and their build, optical design, dimensions, filter sizes and ergonomics are identical. However, the Classic line has recoated elements to create a lower contrast look with more flare. The T stops are slightly different and the Classics are only available in PL-i. Having both lines gives DoPs the option of choosing slightly more classic, characterful look when needed.
