Before Updating

SIGMA Photo Pro is an exclusive software package for displaying and manipulating RAW images taken with all SIGMA digital cameras on your computer.

It is possible to download the installer program of SIGMA Photo Pro for Windows and SIGMA Photo Pro for Macintosh. Please ensure that you read the system requirements for this software before downloading them.

Targets of this Plug-in

Customers who use SIGMA fp series, SIGMA dp Quattro series, SIGMA sd Quattro series, SIGMA SD and DP series cameras.

  * “Warm Gold” can only be used as a DNG file of the SIGMA fp series.
• Speed of reading DNG files shot with SIGMA fp / fp L and saving from DNG / X3F / X3I files to JPEG format are improved.
• RAW data (DNG / X3F / X3I files) shot with custom white balance can be saved in the review window. This fixed a bug that when replacing an image with the navigation button, the “Standard” white balance was displayed.
• Fixed a bug that when an X3I file taken in the vertical position of the sd Quattro series / dp Quattro series is enlarged in the review window or developed under specific conditions, the processing was not performed properly.
• Fixed a bug that the color of the image displayed in the review window was different depending on whether “GPU acceleration” was checked in “Preferences”.
• Fixed a bug that only one GPU may be displayed in the pull-down menu of “GPU acceleration” in “Preferences” on Macs with two GPUs.
• Fixed a bug that even if you selected the paper size, it was not reflected in the printing.

• It has corrected the phenomenon where the RAW file thumbnail image displayed in the main window does not become the normal color when “Save settings to source RAW files” is checked in the “Save images” dialog box.

• When “Auto” in “Adjustment” is selected, the image exposure is prioritized for a person if one detected in the frame. *2
• It has corrected the phenomenon whereby SIGMA Photo Pro terminated abnormally displayed an IO error when saving an adjustment value setting of G1 to G3 after saving an image from a SIGMA fp DNG file.
• It has corrected the phenomenon that the X3I file was forcibly terminated when the review window was opened after opening it in the X3I edit window.
• It has corrected the phenomenon that the message “Constructing the system file (initial operation ONLY)” is displayed and the settings are reset every time SIGMA Photo Pro is started.

*3 Only X3F / X3I files shot with the sd Quattro series, dp Quattro series and still image DNG files shot with the SIGMA fp series are supported.

Warnings

• Before starting the download of the installer program, make sure all applications in your computer are closed.
• Click the download button, or push the mouse button whilst holding down the Control key on your keyboard (Control+ Click).
• Select “download linked file” from the displayed menu. Start the download of the file.
• After completing the download of “PhotoPro6.9.0.dmg” file, it will be mounted automatically and “PhotoPro.6.9.0” disk image will be displayed. If the file is not mounted automatically, please double click the “PhotoPro6.9.0.dmg” file. “PhotoPro6.9.0” disk image will then be displayed.
• After installing the software, it will take a couple of minutes to boot for the first time. Please refrain from using other applications until it completes the start-up process.
• SIGMA Photo Pro 6.8.5 or later is required to develop RAW data (DNG files) shot with a SIGMA fp with firmware version 3.0 or later.

Installation

• Double-click the disk image of “SIGMA Photo Pro 6.9.0” and display the install dialog.
• Drag the icon of “SIGMA Photo Pro 6” and drop it on the application folder. Then, the install process will finish.
